It really doesn't matter...Major League Baseball is dying anyway. Unless it is able to adopt a system of revenue sharing and a reasonable salary cap like the NFL has, it will never survive the next decade. Astronomical salaries and decreasing attendance and TV revenues are killing the small-market teams, and have made it impossible to have fair, open competition. To make matters worse, too many teams are looking for the quick-fix by demanding a new stadium to increase attendance and make more money, but it only serves to alienate the local (and formerly loyal) fans. Take a look at Pittsburgh: We've got a shiny new stadium, and attendance was up this year, but it doesn't change the fact that the Pirates suck, or that the average fan is losing interest. In another year or two they'll be seriously hurting again.
