Hopefully it's not the 4-5k that Audi charges you to bump up to the 2.8 from the 1.8t like they do now. >>
If normal pricing trends continue, the price will stay the same or close to the current 2.8. The gap will still be there between the 1.8 and the 3.0, but since the 2.8 is gone now, the're no need for yet another price premium.
This is similar to what BMW did when they dropped their 2.8 for the 3.0. More horespower and no price premium.
