After many hours of researching, I replaced the latest highpoint raid drivers with version 1.03b. Not only was I experiencing random lockups, my mouse was very "twitchy" and would jump around the screen a lot. Going back to the older highpoint drivers stopped the twitchiness and using the system heavily I haven't seen another lockup in the last 24 hours. Watch, I'll probably lockup when hitting the "post message" button

If anyone else has this problem, try going back to these older highpoint drivers. I haven't experienced any other problems and it cured a few.
