woohoo, no cockroach infested moldy dorm for me!

I'm going to live with the roommate I had during summer session. His parents bought a couple of condos so I'm going to stay with him for $375/month. Since I'm his friend I don't have to pay for utilities. It'll just be the 2 of us in a 3 bedroom condo. At least for the time being.

edit: I also forgot to add that the place will be completely furnished with the exception of my room. His parents went all out and got a huge plasma screen display for the living room. 😀 They also got dishes and silverware and everything else we'll need.

Yep, for anyone attending college next year definitely try and go for the summer session. You not only get some classes out of the way but you already make connections before fall term starts.

where are you? $375 is awesome. I have a cruddy apartment that I am moving out of and it costs 800$ per month. Im moving onto campus where it is 1100$ per month 🙁

Nice. I'm living in dorms next year. It's comfortable and it's more social 🙂

more social yes and it's definitely nice to be right on campus but I had 2 roomates in the summer and it got annoying after a while. it's impossible to sleep or get any studying done. it'll be nice to have my own room and be able to close the door. plus the dorm I was going to have in the fall was a freshman dorm and it's a POS. it's falling apart so bad it's probably about a year away from being condemned. it also only has community showers. so having no privacy for a year would have driven me crazy!!!!

Tallahassee, FL. The place is really nice too. It's behind a huge lake and it's gated too.

I don't really mind it, but then again, the dorms I have fairly nice. My roommate usually respects when I sleep and work so no problem. Community showers aren't that bad as long as they're separate stalls.

name me one college where they have communal stalls 😕

now all you guys need is a hot roommate.

BTW, I loved the dorms... part of the college life. Without that many other people around, it's too much like HS again. School --> home --> repeat.

Pfft, the obvious solution to half those problems is to take blankets and hang them from the ceiling around your bed/work area.

Or at least, obvious to me.
