Perhaps, but with two people both on oral contraceptives the odds are significantly in your favor.

i was watching this show called Berman & Berman on the discovery health channel last night and they were talking about this..... I wouldn't leave it up to a guy to take these. I like being in control! Although, I think its a great step towards males also being responsible for contrception.!

I didn't think about that, but yeah that is a good idea. :)

of course if this doesn't fvck with my hormoes that much then I'd be on it immediately. (but that's a big "if")

That's the very first thing I thought of. 1/1000 odds are good, but 1/1,000,000 odds are even better (presuming the same effectiveness).

because it turns out that female hormones are a lot easier to manipulate for these purposes than male hormones

Exactly, I sure don't want my testosterone messed with. That will definately kill any weight training that you do and could elevate estrogen levels in men. I don't want to turn into a crying little bitch from the pills. Hopefully they will find a way to create something that has benefits like the woman's pill does.

I don't know, I just don't think I would trust a pill for men. Figure it this way: A women's pill only has to stop 1 egg. A male pill has to stop 100,000,000 sperm. I just don't like the odds that some are gonna sneak through. :)

No, it's mainly because of politics and the fact that men are supposed to be fertile. Making ourselves infertile is like some sort of slap in the face. The woman who discovered the male birth control drug was pretty much black listed since day one. It *COULD* have been out years ago, but many of the males in the industry didn't see it as "proper" and pretty much sabotaged her studies and prevented lots of testing.

It's actually quite pathetic, but that's what happens in a male dominated world.

agreed, but it would be so damn gay going up to your friends and saying "oopsie! i forgot to take the pill today! looks like bethanie and i will not be making love tonight... how very sad!"
