WOOHOO just finished my first year of MBA program!

Took the managerial accounting final today, kicked arse, got lunch, grabbed beers, now I'm chillin'...well trying to at least.

I just found out my apt. doesn't have A/C! Wasn't something I thought I needed when I moved to Rochester...doh.

Do you think it will be worth it? I always think about getting an mba, but it seems like you need to have a specific plan when getting one, not just go to get the degree for its own sake. What are you focusing in?

Well I'm focusing on marketing and strategy, and my eventual goal is to get a hot job in the tech sector marketing digital media products to consumers.

Of course, I don't have an engineering background, and even though I'm a self-professed geek, my lack of experience in the direct market will hold me back from landing that job straight out of school. So that means I'm looking for consumer marketing jobs come graduation (consumer packaged goods aka Procter & Gamble, Colgate-Palmolive, Kraft, Unilever etc.) People who start there move on to marketing anything.

Not allowed. 🙁

I live in a high-rise apt, so my only option is one of those high-priced wheelaround units from home depot. Of course, that means I have to empty the water periodically and setup the ugly exhaust vent myself.
