Well lemme see I'm a second year college student and I FINALLY got a part time job at Best Buy! 😎 Haha, I know Best Buy but maybe I can actually bring some knowledge to the store for once. 😉😛 Just wanted a part time job so that I could have some free spending money... the for sale/for trade and hot deals forums keep calling me to buy stuff. 😱😛 Also, I felt really bad leeching off so much money from my parents since they already pay for my college, apartment, bills, books, food, etc. etc. Aren't I so nice! Refusing to take FREE money from my parents. 😀 You know you all wish your child would grow up to be like me. 😉

Ga retail sales position.. it's so freakin hard to get any of these jobs when you dont have any experience in them. I only had data entry (which is absolute torture), tutoring jobs (cool and pays well, but not very great on a resume), and a comp technician job previously (my only "real" job).

Why not a internship at a real company? Because I'm still and undergrad, my GPA sucks, and I'm about a year behind in my major. 😱

I'm happy. 😀 I'm already planning my future computer upgrades and purchases with the money I'll earn. 🙂
 
Cool man! best buy blows, but you get kickass discounts on car audio, and perhaps you will be one of the first knowledgable employees to get a job there in history!
 
You know, oddly enough this relates to the story I read today that Best Buy will begin to phase out part time positions at the beginning of May in an effort to make stores seem more profitable.
 
I just got employed tonight too!

Ditched Kroger (yuck) and now I am a pizza delivery guy for Pizza Hut. Moving on up, lol. Oh well, it's better than most of my friends' jobs. And I get tips 🙂

Hehe yeah. I dont' know how I'm going to work w/ my conscience. I'm going have to purposely try to sell stuff thats a complete rip off most of the time. 😛
 
Congrats!!...I too am a new entrant into the retail field (having only tech support experience before). Now I'm gonna be a manager at Staples....all my friends want to pricematch me now.
