Well, in followup to this thread I went to the doctor today since my scales isn't reading right and found out my true body weight. Not sure if my starting weight of 390 was right anymore because my scale read 340 at home, but the doctor weighted me in at 317. Oh well, time for a new scales.

If my scales truely is off by aproximately 22 pounds (even though it's properly zeroed out), that means my starting weight would probubly be closer to 350-360 which the doctor agrees would be a little more realistic considering I've been on this diet about a month now. So 40 pounds over a month isn't bad. That leaves me just 70 pounds off my 1st goal of 265 pounds. Man, I feel great about this!! My final target weight is 210 pounds at 8% body fat. Much lower than that and it will become unhealthy for me. With my muscle mass and bone size that's about the lowest I can expect to go.

Man, I feel good about this. If I keep loosing an average of 10 pounds a week, I'll be at my 1st target weight of 265 lbs by the end of September. That just so rules. The interesting thing is, there are only a select few foods I actually miss. Most of the rest of the stuff I ate before doesn't interest me anymore. I guess that's what's making this so much easier. :)

Sorry folks, I looked, but I can't find any pics of me before my diet. The newest one is like 5 years ago and it's a really bad one. So I won't post it. If I do find the one I'm after, I'll post it.

Congrats man, but 8% body fat? That's insanely low unless you're trying to be competitive or something...

Every morning. I do a Judo/Jujitsu combined Kata and Tai Chi. But I've been doing them for so many years that I guess that I'll have to jack up the intensity on them in order to loose more weight using them. But since the diet is setup to boost the metabolism, I think that's the one thing that made a huge difference and started me loosing weight rapidly. :)

and what about once you've reached your goal target and you slow down, does your metabolism slow down as well... I ask because if you were able to speed it up, it's able to slow down?

looks pretty nice... although I don't plan on dishing out 6 payments of 20 bucks. I'll stick to running and lifting weights =) More info would be helpful though

Yes, you gain weight when your body's metabolism slows down. That's why some people can eat a cow and not gain a pound. Their metabolism is going warp speed. This diet puts you on a structured eating plan, a scheduled time frame in which to eat, what to eat, and a variety of excercises. Since I'm doing my Kata and Tai Chi in the morning I opted out of the excercise plan, but the regular diet is awesome. It's making me get creative on my food to keep things original. :)

Once your metabolism is boosted, keep it there. You'll keep the weight off if you do. You'll even be able to cheat a bit without it affecting you.

I have lost about 17 pounds in the past 6 or 7 months and I feel great, 180 pounds to about 163 this morining. Keep going because the way you feel about yourself will greatly improve. I didn't look at the diet you are doing but I just started to cut out the carbs from pop and skipped that bowl of ice cream every so often. You must be doing more then that to lose so much at once but it will be worth it.

Congrats and keep up the good work.

hey, i tried that diet, but I couldn't stay on it because all the food was so bland, and I was so sick of chicken and vegetables. How are you doing it? what recipes - of any are you making? I'm curious because that was what I had a hard time with.

Learn to marinade the chicken various ways. Grill at times, bake at times. The same with fish fillets (tilapia, perch, orange roughy). I love tilapia baked with some Thai Ginger marinade.

Veggies can get old but mix it up...try a spinach quiche (but be careful the creme sauce), green beans cooked with bacon bits.

Try tuna fish with relish, Miracle Whip Light, and egg whites.

He's a large guy. A big person can easily lose 10 pounds in a week in a completely healthy manner.
