woohoo, I'm getting a new car!

Yay! My dad has offered to give me my mom's old car(2001 Neon) since he is buying her a PT Cruiser for christmas. I never would have expected it. I bought my old car off of him and had to make payments. I'm 19 and live on my own, so this is really a nice shot in the arm to my cash funds, since i was going to buy my own car.

Its an auto, but hey, its FREE!!

and getting my 2001 Neon R/T.

Guess it's a given that you'll own that PT cruiser some day. I heard they're going to be beefing those up soon.

I could never hand my cars down to my kids. I don't buy a car till it's 5 to 10 years old in the first place, and by the time I'm done with 'em... THEY'RE DONE! :Q

Hey, that didn't stop my parents. My first car was a 1983 Tercel with 220,000 miles on it.

My dad is the supervisor of the Trim Dept at DC. Basically, he builds the seats and camo-covers(those black bras on cars to hide their appearance). Right now he is working on the Jeep TK series seats, i believe.

My mom orignially aske dmy dad to buy me a car and to have me give my mom my car. I talked my dad into buying her the car, so she has no idea that she is getting one.

They had a (then) 19 year old *nix admin who had a stock first generation Neon (base model, no power options, etc). He took me on a ride to get doughnuts once. He was doing 70+ in a 35 zone, snapping my head into the headrest every time he shifted. While I worked there he spent 24 hours in jail for doing 114 in a 70 past a Washington State Trooper.

A friend of mine has a 1996 Dodge Neon Sport Coupe with the DOHC engine. If it weren't a Dodge I'd seriously consider buying one as a "poor man's sport car" but the only option now is the Nissan Sentra RXHRYUREJKISUI200 (forgot the model number I'm sure the Nissan~Driven zealots are hunting me down as you're reading this).

Neons certainly are underrated by most people for their speed.. I was at the light once beside a Sunflower (base model with 4 doors) and automatic, and the guy starts talking out loud to his friend in the passenger seat, so that i can hear him..

he goes:

"If you're gonna buy an R/T, at least buy a car worthy of the R/T name... "

i responded.. "are you dissing, ass?"

he didn't respond.. light turned green.. i dropped the clutch at redline, and after the smoke cleared, i was out of first and a full car length ahead.. after halfway thru 2nd gear i stopped pushing, i had already won by enough...hahaha.. guess that f@g will think twice before dissing a better car than his.
