250 WUs.... I know that isn't much for alot of you crunchers, but after taking over 3 years with the old system to get to 79 units, getting to 250 is cool. I joined up with TeAm last month, and the new rig (plus a WU here and there from the work computer) is crankin'....


....heheh... least as far as I'm concerned. Sorry friends. I can't help but get excited when I hit some kind of milestone. I'm aiming for 1000, and at the current rate, I can do it in about 80 days, give or take. I'm doing what I can to do it on my own....though if we hear a date that the program is going to end, I've already had a few offers to help me get the 1000 WU certificate. We'll have to see how it goes.


(My wife is laughing at me..... make her stop!!)


Anyway.... Keep on crunching!!!

WTG, don't worry - here is what I have done:
( me looks around, makes sure the wife isn't looking...)

I have an old "getto box" with a K6-2 500 (450, 475, 500 whatever...) that I put together from really cheap parts - it barely keeps running. See a post down there about it somewhere...

It's a really ugly POS pooter that inlieu of a case I have encased in that metallic bubble wrap insulative material and it has no front -just a floppy and cdrom sticking out there, bare power switch (no button) and reset switch.

Like I said, it's Fugly.

Here's the plan, I will keep putting better machines together until she goes nuts and tells me "you can't bring another computer into this house unless you get rid of one first".

Then there will be no question, I will dump the ghetto box and put a more modern system online. I have several extended family members who would like to have the "GB".

So, there you have it - my master plan. Guard the knowledge well, and use it wisely. 😉
 
BobTheWizard, not all of us are "big" crunchers, but like yourself, we each do what we can to help the TeAm & the cause, that's what being a TeAm member is all about in my opinion. So w/o further any further comment...

Re the wife,if you promise a bottle of Champagne if you hit 1k WU's I bet she'd stop laughing at you then,she might even help you assimilate more PC's😉hehe
