I'M SO HAPPY!!! This is the highest I've ever gotten. All thanks to the zalman vf-700CU. here is some proof! What are your scores for comparison with equivalent systems? Oh yeah, my 3200+ isn't overclocked. I would overclock it if I could, but my RS480M2-IL won't let me.

EDIT: my temps never went over 58C

Thanks! I think you're more limited by the pc2700 ram, not the athlon xp 3200+.

Really? I didn't think that there was much of a difference between pc2700 and pc3200. But oh well, i'll upgrade sooner or later...

yeah. XP 3200+ is still decent for gaming, pc 2700 ram can be a huge bottleneck, especially in half life 2. does your motherboard support pc 3200? you can get a few sticks for really cheap now.

You're running the card's image quality at high performance. Somehow I doubt you play games at that setting.

What's the standard for benchmarking in 3DMark? Someone's 3DMark score means squat until they show their settings and res, right? Or is it detected and scaled appropriately? Somehow I doubt it.

OP- at high performance mips I get:

5201 in 3DMark 05. Clocks were 450/850 MHz (from 325/600 MHz). Leadtek GeForce 6800NU PCI-E (NV41) with stock cooling.

high performance (mipmaps) 6100+ high quality (mipmaps) 5980. No adverse change in performance IMO 🙂 for me at least. But congrats at the 4000 mark

That reminds me, I had minimaps set to triliniar. I'll have to turn it down and try again. Thanks.

EDIT: whoops, just looked and triliniar minimaps were off.

me neither. Thanks for the :cookie:

No problem 🙂 . I just ran 3dmark05 on my system (A64 3000+ @ 2.35 Ghz) with my Leadtek 6600GT Extreme at stock (550/1120) and got 3960. Not too bad... 😉

not bad at all! Your lucky, you get to overclock your CPU. I wish I wasn't stuck with this rs480m2-il.

I just ordered a Zalman VF700cu the other day. Should get here sometime next week. I can't wait. I can't oc my X800XT PE at all, and even at stock speeds, the temperatures are ridiculous. I bought a ATi Silencer, but it's not compatible with my Motherboard.

nice score!

i got 4276 with 3000+ @ 2.25ghz, X800 @ 415/435. hey does RAM change 3dmark scores at all, cuz i only have 512mb.
