Woohoo! Got my pinball machine working today!

Yeehaaa! I've got an old (1975) Williams 'Triple Strike' pinball machine...got it from my buddy for $50 🙂 It was only 'trying' to work, so I've spent the last week finding repair guides on the Web. And today it finally paid off! I mean, there's still some minor glitches, burned-out light bulbs, but the game's playable 😀

Now if I can just fix the 'Haunted House' machine....:|

Man that has got to be one of the best investments you ever made... having your own pinball machine must kick ass.

It's got to be better than your own video game, i mean with MAME out there what's the point?

I hope you can eventually get the right bulbs (i mean, they have to be generic right? who ever heard of proprietary bulbs for something like a pinball machine) and i'm sure you'll spend more time on it than yer computer for a while.

Pics?

I want a pinball machine but it would have to be one from the late 70s early 80s because the machines out today suck ass.

There's a few games I remember playing long ago.. most pinball games today are way too complicated and stupid.
Black Knight 2000 was a good one. 🙂

I remember playing the original Black Knight...first dual-level game I played 🙂 It was kewl!

I wish I could afford the pinball machines I really want....Eight Ball Deluxe (about $1800, if you can get one) or the original Playboy ($$$$$, if you can find one) but this is a start.

Ditto, I still remember playing it twice at Pizza World. It was on the far wall, 3 machines from the south wall.

the haunted house game is a classic and worth repairing if you can...I used to own a game called centar II...a multi-ball game that would release 6 balls @ once...my uncle owns about 6 pinball games...they are great...used to frequent a bar on the east coast in my younger years and got rather proficient @ the ones in the bar and played 1 fool for 2 $20 games then 1 game @ $100...after I collected my winnings, I told the sucker he had had enough

Having a pinball machine would be a real dream. Good for you!

I'm not much of a Williams fan, but their games from that era were pretty fast. Gulfstream is one that comes to mind.
