On July 29, I entered a contest that was sponsored by an internet based fitness lifestyle club that I belong to (been with it for about 4 years). For the contest I had to lose at least 10% of my body weight or reduce my bodyfat percent a full 10% or more. We also had to do the essay thing, and then I had to do a phone interview. I started at 203.5 @ 18% and ended at 180 @ 6.7% by October 19th. There were only about 15 guys who entered (about 30 women entered on their side), all ages included.

Well, I just found out I won!!!!!! woohoo......

I won:

$1,000
A trip to Vegas or Orlando (I'll be going to Vegas, thank you)
A free month's membership ($20 for me)
And a shirt

The contest started on the 29th of July and ended October 31st. I timed it to do my photos on the 19th of October. We basically had a couple of days over 12 weeks.

Oh, and I didn't starve myself, I ate 5-6 meals a day and averaged about 1800 calories a day - averaged over the 12 week period.

The "Coach" as we call him provides tools, primarily his coaching and knowlegde, internet tools such as workout generator, a nutrion/meal generator and analyzer, public and private (for personal contact to him) forums, charts and other tools, online live chat with him, direct phone line to him, member only discounts on all of his products, tons of articles and research pulled from various sources, as well as his own input, and lots of other things. The guy is a Bill Philips (Body of Life) without the marketing and hype.
