Yes, I'm sitting on the floor because I haven't put my computer bench back together yet (needs some modifications, i.e., shorten one side and lengthen the other). I'm using a backup comp cuz the main box is still at the apartment til the last minute, still staying nights at the apt for now.

AND, I'm soooo happy to be posting at 31200bps!!!! Sure, you lucky broadband folk scoff...but I've been on 28800 for the last 4 years...only once (once!) got 31k there, so I'm stoked to be getting anything faster. And maybe if I shorten up this 25ft. phone wire I might get a lil more

Oh yah, not many broadband options out here in the country. Only satellite or wireless (Digital Putty) too expensive equipment-wise, at least for now.

got any neighbors with high speed internet? get some guy and some wireless equipment (wireless router and a wireless card) and some good antennas, you can get some fast internet. OR you can start your own wireless ISP, resell bandwith! i bet your desperate neighbors (whom you probably don't know yet) are also on 56k and will not pay the expensive service to satalite and the other wireless
