WOOHOO! Finally installed WINXP!

Picked up the CD from the University Computer store (read: NO activation!) and installed in less than 45 min for a clean install. This OS rocks! Coming from a FAT32 Win98SE setup, NTFS and WINXP work together to make it a lot faster!

Currently I'm downloading all the security updates (on a dialup connection...glug glug glug...).

Golly, there are almost 30MB worth. On a dial-up that will take some time. If you have a friend on cable/dsl, you should try and download all the patches and burn to CD...

CTRL-ALT-DEL and click "lock computer".

XP has been rocking on my rig, on the wife's laptop and my dad's pc.

Strangely enough - there was only 6.6 MB of critical updates for me to download - still took ~an hour or so! I want Comcast...or do I?
