Got my friend who runs an AthlonXP1900+ to run seti for me 🙂

I told him it uses idle non used clocks to run the program, and shouldn't get in the way, helped him install it, and hes running it 🙂, He doesn't notice any slowdown at all! And he has it as a startup program, so it runs seti as soon as his computer boots.

Unfortunatly he turns it off when he sleeps, but he does leave his computer on when he isn't though, so, I get a few extra WUs a day 🙂

Another computer I might get to run SETI is a 1.4 Athlon. Well, This guy might give me a 1.4 Athlon, I'll give my 1.2 to my brother, and force him to Run SETI in return 🙂. But if the guy doesn't give me the 1.4, I could invest in an AthlonXP, and give my brother the 1.2 anyway. Either way, I should get another comp running.

Last, but not least, My brother and I are discussing a server for us. Small 450mhz Celeron, we havn't built it yet, but we are considering it, if we do build it, i'll make sure it runs SETI also 😀

My Herd:

1.2ghz Athlon
Athlon XP 1900+

Maybe in the future:
1.4ghz Athlon/AthlonXP
450mhz Celeron

Assuming all the Athlons get around 2.5 WU a day, that'll be 7.5. the Celeron should get 1.5 or so.

So perhaps in the near future, 9 WU's a day! Woohoo!

Well, I'm done rejoicing. I just feel I had to brag about my soon to be mighty herd!

I'm really looking foward to helping the team anyway I can, I just felt like bragging a little. Though I know it doesn't compare to nearly 1/4 of your computers running SETI, hehe 😀

As far as getting the 1.4 to do 4 units a day, maybe when I leave the computer idle, and I do other things, such as school. But Its summer, I have nothing to do other than tweak my computer alot, constantly taking it apart just for fun. That involves alot of restarts and downtime. And of course, I play games everyonce and a while, so that slows things down.

So I'm more or less hoping around 3 units a day 🙂

I see the Setiassimilationitus bug has kicked in already.... <Evil Doctor mode> I see the Setiassimilationitus drug is now stronger, and there are more pronounced and quicker appearing results.....i think covering the welcoming letter with it was an excellent idea........muwahahahaha!!! </Evil Doctor mode> 😉
