The $5 more per hour I thought would have been clear.

And if you figure he's getting paid at an hourly rate there should be some OT in there somewhere.

MaxDepth, I&C Tech is instrumentation and controls technician. I install/repair/maintain/calibrate/program all the measurement and control devices on site. Process transmitters, valves, single loop controllers, programmable logic controllers (PLC), distributed control systems (DCS), and continuous emissions monitoring systems (CEMS). The I&C guys is also typically relied upon to do process improvement and engineering work in plants with no staff engineers. In addition, due to my networking and computing system education and experience, I'll also be the site systems admin.

My field of expertise is power generation and this new job is another combined cycle gas turbine power plant. I love process control, and with my new schedule I'll be able to finish my EE and get in line for a plant manager position in a decade or so.

Thanks a bunch guys for stopping by to celebrate with me. For all those still looking for work, I've got my fingers crossed for you. Just keep networking and looking.
