Just got my new system up and running... Athlon 1.4 w/ Iwill KK266. Right off the bat, running @ 1.56Ghz @ stock voltage! ~5.53 Keys/sec in rc5... damn!

can't you tell i'm excited? 😉
 
dont know my room temps... but my cpu temp as reported by Hardware monitor and also the bios is around 40C during idle and 45C during full load (playing q3a + dnetc).

I've decided to run the chip @ 1.533 though to get a high FSB/Memory clock... currently running @ 153FSB (306DDR) x 10.0 multiplier which also puts my ram @ 153MHz CAS2!

anyway, this is still @ stock voltage...

btw, @ 1.533 my temps now (been running dnetc for about half an hour are @ 44C.

also, when trying to go above 1.56 i started getting crash dumps... even when I increased my voltage to 1.85v. I was &quot;kind&quot; of stable @ ~1.84 but it still managed to dump me a couple of times. In any case though, I fugure I'd rather run @ a lower clock and have a higher FSB/Mem clock...

btw, you typed ~5.53 Keys/sec, but you meant to type ~5.53 MKeys/sec
