Whoa, that's probably the best wood case I've ever seen. Just finish the wooden panels and you'll have a damn fine case 🙂

What's the noise/heat like in it?

EDIT: Wait on closer inspection I noticed that the wood panels were finished. Hmm, personally I would've used a darker wood myself but that's just me.
 
yea the choice of wood.. i have a piece of sugar maple that was cut before i was born(im 20) so i used it, and just so you know, those pictures look too pink. the wood is actually more yellow.
the temps are better than my old inwin s500. mobo is at 30C and my a64 3000+ @2.2 is at 32 at idle with the default hsf. When people ask me about wood insulating, i honestly beleive that 99% of the heat expelled in a computer is by convection, not radiation. and i designed the case for airflow, so there should be lots of air moving
 
interesting psu mounting. is the fan blowing it out enough through the bottom? is it a dual fan psu?

i take it the optical door is the 1 bay, looks like it swings down?

did you make the frame yourself?

looks good btw, just curious. yellow and green, packer fan ? 😛
 
Wow that's sweet, should of paited it blue though🙂 But thats my opinion and if you desighned that frame yourself, nice job! What kind of parts did you throw in there?

no the colours are to be like the old green and wood cars. the optical drive is behind the piece of wood, it is just a simple stealthing and isnt 'done' yet. I need to thin it a little more and attached with a better solution than folded over packing tape.
The PSU is a dual fan enermax. it exhausts air from the pci slot area(the case is really 2 sections because the graphics card is so big it acts like a wall. There is no room for another vent, except on the bottom panel. all other space is taken since this is a considerably smaller case than my old atx case.

Also, yes i made everything myself. and even tried to include features from expensive cases like a removable motherbaord tray.

Thats sweet. The only I know how to do with wood is burn it in a camp fire.

Id like to see pics from start to finish too.

3 questions, it looks like the on the side panel latch the screws stick through the back, if they are are you going to cap or file them down so they wont damage wires? Do you plan on putting grills on the fans? And where is the power switch?

Again, really nice.

You mean "Forced Convection and not Natural Convection" rather than "convection, not radiation".

Force Convection is obviously with fans, Natural convection is "heat rises". Radiation is usually very miniscule.

good eye. Yes those screws are sticking out. I will grind them down, but didnt feel like it last night so i covered the sharp points with tape temporarily
 
I just don't agree with the Green paint job. But other then the cosmetic stuff that is one awsome case. Good job!
 
Wow I think its great! Not my choice of color, but the craftsmanship looks awesome and I do like the looks of the cooling potential of it. Very niSe 🙂
 
as far as temps go.
Idle cpu=32C, mobo=30.
Load Cpu = 45C, mobo 31.

This is simply amazing. with my inwin case, i peaked at about 55-57C under load and ~40C for the mobo.

haha, yes it is john deer green. I'm curious, does everyone that hates the green like blue instead? blue is very overused with it comes to pcmods, and this green is a wonderous colour
