The US Gov will now seize your home since it will be declared as a habitat for that new species, and you must move out immediately.

They are not endangered, but most birds are protected by the Migratory Bird Treaty Act of 1918. Unless it's a game bird or an invasive species, you are probably not allowed to touch them.

I was speaking to my neighbors about something similar. They had a pecker start hitting their aluminum drain pipe and it rattled through the whole house. They put a owl statue near the pecking area and it immediately stopped.

I have a neighbor that got 2 owl statues, one each for his out building and house. He moved them around periodically. My son also got one 14" tall that turns with the wind. They worked very well.
