What would be the best way to convert a 1930's radio into a PC case?

Its dimensions are; 17”H x 10”W x 8”D. I'm thinking that a mATX motherboard, ATX PSU, etc. will fit, but want your opinions on how I should approach this project. Here is a link to the radio I'm thinking about buying.

Looks like the ID will be too small for matx. 17" = 15 1/2", 10" = 8 1/2". The 8" would be a guess where they took the numbers, knobs or no but the backing would be only a 1/4 if it exists at all. UATX or MITX would do though.

Generally I'll get a system up and running and build from there so I can get measurements and ideas for best airflow. Build the case to fit the system, your going to need to work the other way. Purchase or mod the parts to fit the case.
