Wandering about NYC last night I went to go check out Times Square because I had time to kill before my bus left. Well, the whole thing was shut down with fire trucks, police cars, and ambulances. People got to wander about the streets freely. Pretty snazzy stuff.

When we asked what had happened they said there was a fire in the building that houses the WWE club/store/resturant place.

It must not have been very serious though since I cannot find anything about it on any news site, channel, or service.

Interesting...

WWE had their 10th anniversary RAW special last night, live from The World in Times Square. I didn't see anything on the broadcast (9pm-11pm EST) to indicate a problem.

It was on the news. Some idiot low life shot and killed a woman in his Hotel room, walked to the lobby, put the gun on the counter and was picked up by the police.

He wasn't a tall skinny guy, was he? Wearing black?

Dammit. I *TOLD* my brother to quit shooting women. Sheesh... j/k

Seriously, I'm glad criminals are stupid. Makes them easier to catch.

Was it the same thing though? I mean, the fire department was out with all their oxgen gear on and everywhere was wet like the fire hoses were on.

I dont think it would be like that for just some dude... would be more cop cars there for that.. which there wasnt. Last night it was almost completely fire trucks..

Don't know why they rolled so much equipment from the FD but on the News you did see more FD apparatus than Police vehicles for some reason so I believe that is the same event.
