These thunderstorms are weak compared to what the south/midwest gets.

I just heard it also, pretty damn loud if I can hear it a few miles away from you!

i hate thunderstorms. mostly because my car isn't under covered parking and we get hail about 3X a year. also tornados. in the summer we get thunderstorms almost daily in the afternoon/early evening due to ground heating during the day. huge black storms with tons of lightning.
 
We had about 15 minutes of intense hail a few hours ago.

Don't think I could ever cope with TX weather.
 
Well I don't see that much hail in my part of Texas, but we do get our fair share of thunderstorms and tornado warnings. I love the rain because of the fresh smell it brings before and afterwards. Must clear away the smog or something.
 
We have had more thunderstorms here in the Willamette Valley this year then we have had over the last 5 years (maybe more) combined. Must of had 5 or 6 this year in the mid Valley.

We hardly ever get thunderstorms around here, I've been enjoying this. 🙂

Last time I heard thunder was the first time I went to PA (Summer of 01).

Before that? Who knows, we miss out on all the cool weather here.

Every night this week we have had really bad thunderstorms. It is some of the worst lightning I have ever seen. We've had 2 hail storms and a little mini flood so far (alot of people's vehicles were damaged either with the hail or the flood, and I found out we are going to need a new roof) so I'm kinda sick of it. 😛
