It was going strong, then it dipped really low, and shut off for about 15 seconds. Then, it came on, flikered for a bit, and is now going strong!

Wanna bet it is from the electromagnetic storm?

my coworker has an office with a large window
at about 230pm CST the screen on the monitor started getting fuzzy and shaking.
almost like you put a magnet near it, it had to be from the EM storm
pretty weird stuff.

I'm not sure at all, but the local news was talking about possible problems with the power grids in the Northeast US.

nothing beats my month long experience in haiti.

they have electricity like we have 50 inch plasma tv's.

power comes on between 2-3 am for about an hour or two... just enough to recharge my batteries.
no tv, no internet, no nothing...
unless you have one of those power generators.

hey, I'm in the East Bay,CA area and we lost power similar to what you are describing. I think ours was a little after 8:37 though, I'd say around 8:50 or so.
