I've been fighting to get my stupid modem drivers installed. I even went out and bought a new modem. People tell me "oh, just download the drivers." Simple enough when you're connected or your modem works.

I remembered that my mom has an internet connection on her computer, so I downloaded the 2000 drivers for the modem I had in my system in the first place. 🙂 Looks like I'm taking the new modem back.

I'm sooo happy! Win2000 is awesome. I don't have my games installed, but it came with pinball (unlike 98), so it gets my vote. 😀 I don't play games as much as I used to, but I have my few that I'm devoted to. We'll see how things go with that.

I've got SP2 installed, so things should go smoothly.
 
installing win2k is the best thing ive done in a long long long long long long long long long long long long long long long long long long long long short time.
 
welcome to the club, w2k is sooo much better then any other os out there, i especially like w2k server for the file shares etc.
 
Congratulations. I had to install mine about three times. The first time I got myself hopelessly tangled up in snarled set of security settings. I managed to snarl them myself. The second time I think there were some remnants left over from the first installation, but the third time was a charm. It's finally stopped the kids from downloading their software onto my computer (they have their own computers).
