Yeah, I know it's only the practice round, but it seems like forever since last season ended.

Promises to be a really interesting season too ... BMW and Williams (Nico only) should be podium regulars, and BMW may get their first win ??? Renault is looking iffy though, glad to see Alonso stuck there.

Ferrari and McLaren will no doubt duke it out for the top spot (Driver and Constructor's) but I think some of the "rest of the pack" is gaining on them. Shoot, with Ross in charge, Honda may be able to grab a podium or two after mid-season.

Gotta go find my gorilla mask (Kimi fan) ... :D

Seems like w/ F1, the bottom teams are perpetually stuck there because they might as well be driving tricycles. THe car performance differential between Ferrari and the bottom feeders feels like night and day

I'm totally looking forward to this season! No traction control, Ferrari looks strong (also a Raikkonen fan) Lewis Hamilton mania, Alonso back at mid-pack Renault.

Yes, the removal of TC will separate the men from the boyz this year.

I'm just hoping that Microsoft's software (in the common ECU) doesn't screw things up.

Gotta go, 5 min. 'til blast-off. Time to pop a cold Foster's !

Oh baby!!! F1 looks soooo good in HD!!!

Yeah, Bernie is doing a good job with the telecasts except for all the dang continuous screen logos, clock/timer, etc., which are making me and my Pioneer KURO very nervous. :(

I think Kimi was sand-bagging during this last (P2) practice session. He was a half second faster than anyone during P1. From the in-car he was looking pretty casual, IMHO.

The removal of TC and engine braking sure made for some great power slides, etc.

I was a bit shocked at how well Red Bull looked, and equally shocked at how poorly the BMW's did. Either they're sand-bagging too or they went too far with their aero. I'm thinking the latter ... wild-a$$ looking car.

Quali should be awesome, esp. with the elimination of the "fuel burn-off". Period 3 is gonna be a shootout from the get-go !
