Had a Blue for Students, then went to a regular Blue, now I am moving to the Blue Cash.

It gives you 5% back on your purchaces.. might not seem like that much but the way I look at it is 5% is > the 0% I am currently getting back so why wouldn't I want it?

Happy!

Edit:
So, its only 1.5%, but, 1.5% is better then the 0% I am getting now, so yeah.

I am gonna follow your path....at least, get a blue for student. give me a damn credit card!!! (going to college in fall)

fine print is everything... if it really were 5%... everyone would be all over it... 2% is like the best these days.. and on a staggered system

1 Your annual cash reward for everyday purchases at stand-alone U.S. supermarkets, gas stations, drugstores, and home improvement stores is up to 3%. Stand-alone locations do not include the departments of superstores or warehouse clubs where the standard rebate of up to 1.5% applies. Your annual cash reward for all other purchases is up to 1.5%. You will receive an additional rebate of up to 2% in months in which your account carries a balance. Your cash rewards are limited to $50,000 of annual eligible spending. Balance transfers, purchases of American Express® Travelers Cheques or American Express® Gift Cheques and Cash Advances do not earn a cash back reward.

So, I will still get 1.5%.

1.5% > 0% I get on my current blue, so, why wouldnt I want to use it?

It's actually up to 1.5%. But something is better than nothing, and you certainly ought to use it.
