Won't Power Up

So the rig in my sig was going fine for about three weeks, then suddenly wouldn't boot up. I removed it from the case placed it on the cardboard, etc, etc, took out everything except one stick of RAM, the CPU, and the vid card, and it still wouldn't boot. I tired the PSU on another computer and it worked fine, so I ruled that out. Tried booting up again with nothing plugged in (except power) and still no go. Motherboard has power buttons on-board so its not the case button that is the issue. Anyone have any ideas?

did you try to clear the bios? have you overclocked and caused this result? do you have a pc speaker you can connect to the motherboard and see if there are beep codes? if you do have a speaker, can you see if there are beepcodes when there is no ram inserted?

gotta suspect the mainboard in this situation....sometimes the only way to rule out the bad component is to try each part with another compatible system. If you have access to another S939 mainboard you could at least rule out the cpu.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure its the motherboard. It was overclocked, but the HTT was only at 255. Tried clearing the CMOS, and no, no beep codes. I'm gonna see if I can find a friend that'll let me borrow a motherboard..

no beep codes with no ram? i think its the motherboard too.

Well, I just bought a new motherboard today, an MSI K8N Neo4 SLI. It was the best cheap board they had at the gaming convention I was at. (Otronicon) Everything works like a charm now.
