Won't let me OC?

I have a P4 3.2 GHz LGA775. I tried overclocking from BIOS with the easy overclock thing (lets you choose a % and it does everything for you; it's an ASUS P5GD2 motherboard). Even if I try to OC it 5%, when I reboot, it tells me "System fail due to CPU overclocking". Is this CPU not overclockable or what?

Have you tried overclocking the normal way, by manualy setting the front side bus? What memory are you using, and power supply?

No I haven't tried the manual way, I don't really know what I'm doing there, afraid I might mess something up. I'm using "OCZ Value Series PC4200 DDR2 D/C Kit 1GB" for RAM, and I have a Thermaltake Silent PurePower 420W power supply.
