Football players in highschool were VERY different than the ones in college... most of the "jocks" in college who were football players fit the stereotype... I wouldn't be surprised... these guys play football for a living - they were brought into their college to play football. The ones who made it big weren't likely the ones you'd find at the library on their own.
 
I took the Wonderlic for a job i applied for, they wouldn't tell me my score but they said I did VERY well 😉.

I remember finishing about 45 or 46 questions.

Apparently there are conflicting reports.. some people say it was regraded, some people say he retook it, and some people say it's a cover up.
 
According to the test maker a score of 10 is literate.

If you are about to pay someone that much money and have them lead your team, shouldn't they at least be able to read?

Got that one wrong...

I put 0 cause I thought it meant how many pages need to be in the smaller type to fit all the words into 21 pages. So 48000/1800 is 26 so you could easily fit that many words into a 21 page allotment...
 
Dumb guys play football, too. Not every athlete who goes to college is smart. I don't like Vince Young and I think he's going to be a horrible NFL QB, but I don't think its surprising whatsoever that guys score low on these tests. You're asking a board full of geeks and nerds about an intelligence test. Many people here would score very high on such a test, but how many of us can run a 4.3 40 or read a zone blitz coverage in 5 seconds and get the ball to a WR?

I mean really, why would the NFL need intelligence tests. Physical performance and winning is the name of the game.

I agree. This whole thing has been blown out of proportion. He's not getting paid to do math problems on the field. And who's to say that he didn't just flew through the test not giving a fvck about the outcome?
 
I went through eight of them and got bored, but I got all the ones I did correct (awesome attention span, I know 😉).

That's fine and all, but teams can (and apparantly do) still use it as criteria for drafting a player, so maybe that's not such a great idea.

Pat McInally is the only NFL player to ever score a perfect 50. See the wiki article someone else linked.
