JEFFERSON AIRPLANE LYRICS
"White Rabbit"

One pill makes you larger
And one pill makes you small
And the ones that mother gives you
Don't do anything at all
Go ask Alice
When she's ten feet tall

And if you go chasing rabbits
And you know you're going to fall
Tell 'em a hookah-smoking caterpillar
Has given you the call
Call Alice
When she was just small

When the men on the chessboard
Get up and tell you where to go
And you've just had some kind of mushroom
And your mind is moving low
Go ask Alice
I think she'll know

When logic and proportion
Have fallen sloppy dead
And the White Knight is talking backwards
And the Red Queen's off with her head
Remember what the dormouse said
Feed your head
Feed your head

I think we can see now exactly what madness conservatives are projecting in their anti drug hysteria.

Welcome to your journey through Trumpland.

Is there a voice in the distance crying, "Off with their heads!"?

We are not even close. The full blown assault on freedom of the press is just heating up, and it's fueled by the people that create actual fake news.

Everyone who is freaking out about trump is just doing the same exact thing that happened when obama took office. Its always going to look worse than it is, especially if youre dead set on not liking the guy. I was certain that obozo was going to destroy the country, steal our guns, remove amendments 1- 10, etc... and guess what? We still survived (mostly).

Nice variation on "They're just as Bad!"

You are very kind to say so and I believe that in a normal world it would make some real sense. My personal take on it, however, and despite the fact that I am fully cognizant of the parallels you suggest, is that while your fears were quite irrational and the result of fear generated by years of programming, that I am seeing the world objectively, that my view that Trump has brought utter madness and ineptitude to the Presidency is actually factually real. I am convinced of this fact based on my personal experiences with my own programming. I destroyed as a rather young man everything I was taught to believe, all that made my life feel important, everything that made life seem good, everything I held sacred. In that place of utter hopelessness and despair, I gave up, died, and awakened.

The tea of truth can only be poured into an empty cup. You have taken a step. You have survived and seen the delusional nature of some of your fears. They were imaginary, but they were there because you believe that you believe in what is good. That's the mistake everybody makes. We know there is a good, our being knows there is a tea of truth, but we incorrectly assume that good is what we were programmed to believe and we fear that if we are wrong then there is no good at all, not that just what we thought was good isn't.

I tell you that behind that wall of fear, the fear that good will be lost, that truth will disappear and leave you empty and lost is a truth so good it will curl your hair. Relax and be happy.

You would be geniunley surprised to know how many people take deep introspective and view things objectively, I try to do this as often as I can.

I agree completely that trump has done some objectively bad things, red flags everywhere and the whole bit, but overall I dont think the fear most have of him is justified by objective facts. I believe its just an emotional response thats being fueled by the fact that its trendy to be afraid of everything. He isnt going to bring America down, he isnt going to turn into some crazy dictator, he is going to illegally profit during his presidency, he will occasionally pass laws that make him feel good even if they are clearly wrong for the public in every way, but I dont think he personally has it out for any single person more than another. Hes all profit driven, and russia driven too.

With all that being said, I view him as equally terrible for America as obama, and from where we were when Bush left to where we are now, it wasnt a complete disaster. I think a lot of things are being overblown and misconstrued, and im waiting a while before I officially write him off as evil.

From where Dubya left us is been a rough uphill slog against entrenched Repub obstructionism, 'tis true. Progress has been made in spite of that.

How does a person misconstrue "The media is the enemy of the American people" anyway? Or any of the rest of the utter bullshit spewed by the Trump team less than a month into it? Do you need a list?
