Wondering wtf is a domo-kun (from that other thread)?

I THINK he's a mascot (?) for a Japanese tv station. He was popular for a while...but I think he's dying out. They have little commercial-type spots featuring domo-kun and his friends....

that's pretty much all i know..heh.

ahha yeah...my friend is obsessed w/ them..he has those dolls in all sizes hanging from the ceiling..even has 2 domokuns running after a cat doll on his desk...ahhahaha

Domo-kun has been the mascot of NHK television for at least 10 years now. I don't think his popularity is dying down yet. He's just gotten popular in America for once.
