I currently have a ASRock P67 Extreme 4 MB and Intel I7 2600k 120 ssd hard drive 1 terabit Hard drive a GTX 680, A Silver Stone FT-02 case 8 gig of ram and a Dell U2711 monitor.

I want to play battle field 4 I am liking the demo but I don't think my vid card is good enough to drive my monitor. I am also not sure if I need to step up to Haswell and socket 1150.

I had my CPU at 4.2 on air I know there are better OC's but that is the luck of the draw at times but I had to back it off yesterday to no overclock because I need to replace the thermal grease.

I will probabley get a bigger ssd too I seam to have came close to filling mine up.

An overclocked 2600K is no slouch, I doubt you're CPU-limited. I could definitely believe you're GPU limited at 2560x1440. Looking at the benchmarks, buying another GTX 680 would put you near to where the GTX 690 is.

I have a reference GTX 680, I got that kind because I was scared that the none reference type wold but to much heat into my case.
I can find the non reference type at amazon but they want a fortune for them, a lot more than the none Reference. And new egg carry's only the ones with the after market coolers.

May have to buy two 770's or wait tell R290X come out to see how it bench marks, and maybe the Nivda cards will price will come down more if it dose good

would go with the 780 but not sure that by itself it would be enough unless i was abel to get a good overclock on it.
and thanks for the becnchmarkes

OR i could just but a singe 780 and get hat 144hz Monitor that Asus makes but hate to go back to 24 " monitor and non IPS

forgot to mention that my power supply is a Seasonic X series 750w
Not sure it that will be enought to power two of the newer gpu's and be able to over clock the Cpu and GPU

750W is plenty of power for even a very beefy setup.

GTX 680's are expensive to buy new, so I would look for a used on on eBay or Craigslist if you go that route. For example: this one is a good buy relative to the price of a GTX 770 and 7970.

Buying a new GTX 780 is also a fine choice if you're willing to spend that much. A single card is certainly an overall more straightforward and more hassle-free way to proceed.

LOL i wonder if I should even do this I work a lot and not sure it if it would be worth making a PC just to play Battle field if I cant play every night.
Because if it is going to be anything like the MMO's I use to play your friends out lv 's you to quick and cant group with ya
