Wondering if I damaged my motherboard.

So I might have accidentally pull some components out while the PSU was still plugged in.

I dropped some screws on the mobo a couple of times.


However, I can still boot up with no problems.

Hrm.. tough to guess.. I have seen motherboards survive worse and some die to much less. Depends if any capacitors got damaged.

You could disconnect everything and inspect the board for any burn marks, and even then not conclusive.

All you can do is test all the functions, and move on. There is NO way to answer the lifespan question.

I've watched one member here on AT pull video cards from plugged in motherboards repeatedly, and he's yet to have one failure. Might say he's just lucky, but it works for him and his stable of >100 gpus he has on hand....that all work.
