Wondering if anyone has used the Antec KS188 case...

Anyone here used the Antec KS-188 case? The one I am looking at comes with the PP303X power supply as well.

It looks like a pretty damn good case, and I can get it for $73 according to Pricewatch, which isnt bad if you consider it comes with one of the most reliable power supplies for AMD chips.

Your thoughts, experiences?

I have been using one for over a year.
It currently is the case for my Athlon rig in my system rig page.

I have had no problems with it and 73 is a good price in my opinion.

I paid 100 for mine at a local compusa last year.

Great case, check the link in my sig for pictures. The case is very similar(identical except for the PS and front bezel) to the Aopen HX08.

I recently replaced it with an SX1030.

I started looking for certain parts of my system almost a year ago, and this case was the one I immediately decided on. Everything about it seemed great with nearly no downsides at all to speak of.

Still, its size may be its downfall. How is IDE cable reach up to the higher drive bays?

I've used it and I wasn't too impressed. The biggest problem stems from the fact that the exhaust cooling fans (for the back) need to be mounted all the way at the top, above the PSU, where there is no air flow. If you run amd processors, which get very hot, the hot air will not circulate well within this case, unless you buy an additional slot cooler and mount it right next to the AGP port. The Antex SX1030 is a better case just because of the dual exhaust fans right behind the cpu and agp card.

The good thing about the KS188 is of course the number of drive bays; you can put MANY HDD's in there; I actually had problems findind an IDE cable long enough to reach the top bay! 😛
