Wondering if anyone can help? Aeron Chair Engineering Question about PostureFit and.... Any chair modders?

Hey all, I was wondering if anyone could take some measurements for me (or figure out what I'm trying to do is possible)?
I have the old "classic" Aeron chair, but was wondering if I could somehow install the new PostureFit SL support on it? I know that the official word from Herman Miller is "no" since the PostureFit SL is only "compatible" with the Remastered Aeron. From the images though, both chairs have backs that are very similar in shape.

Essentially, if one of you guys/gals has access to both a remastered chair with a SL back support and a classic Aeron, could you take measurements and see if one can retrofit the SL onto the classic? I'd love more cephalic back support (the Classic sits way too low) without buying a whole new chair. If not, what appears to be the problem (dimensions are off, supportive arms too sort/long, etc)?

And just for fun, if any one of you guys have modded your chairs, please post pictures below!

Sorry if my post offended you guys? Seemed like a good place to pose this question as there are no dedicated office furniture forums around and the Aeron is the benchmark Tech chair.

If I may add my 2 cents worth -- to need to start measuring at the base perpendicular to the mid section and then loop around the aft section down to the shiny round things! Walla your have your answer!!!

Dear JEDIYoda, thanks, unfortunately, I don't have either of the chairs, yet. I plan to buy one, but I really want to have the new PostureFit SL. This would be the only reason to buy the way more expensive new model (you get the classic model quite cheap used or refurbished). Therefore it would be favorable to buy an old classic one and retrofit it with the PostureFit SL of the new remastered version.
