Wondering about my 440BX mobo...

I?ve got a BX mobo, a Gigabyte GA-6BXC rev 1.9 to be exact... I currently have a 300MHz PII in it and I would love to upgrade it to get another decent machine. (My main machine is an AMD 1800+ powered box) I have a pretty good idea of what should work, but I am at a loss as to what will work and work best. A solution from Powerleap would be fairly simple and Tualatin performance would be great, but my motherboard is conveniently incompatible. So I am stuck with either a SECC2 Slot 1 PIII, or going with a Slotket and a socket 370 FC-PGA Celeron or PIII. No Tualatins for me it seems...

Could a PIII 850 work? 100MHz fsb uped to 133 would equate to 1133MHz... Those cost maybe $120 or so...
Maybe the SECC2 (Slot 1) PIII 1000 could work? 1333Mhz @ 133Mhz fsb... That would cost close to $200

There are the Celerons up through 1100MHz. The 1100MHz Celeron costs $70-80 or so... Would they overclock on a 133Mhz fsb very well? What about performance? I'm sure they could dish some out, but compared to the PIII?... But then there is the price as well. A Celeron 1000 or 1100 would certainly be tempting if they could run at a 133MHz fsb.

A Slot 1 PIII 866Mhz cpu doesn?t cost much, about $120 or so. A PIII 1Ghz socket 370 would cost less, but it would require a converter. I am fairly confident that those cpus should work well, but it would be great if I could have some opinions on what some of my better options would be.
