Well I do work at NCIX so I can get a good deal 😛 However I'm not going to upgrade the CPU on this system really soon. First off the 2600k really isn't the successor to the 1366 i7s. Those will be the socket 2011 chips, I think they will have 6 and 8 core versions of those. I might pick up a 2600k and or another i7 970 from Intel Retail edge though and resell them on craigslist. I'm also thinking of upgrading the SSD to a Vertex 3 at some point. Do you still work in computer retail BTW?
 
Yeah that's why i was mentioning the i7 2600k (Retail Edge).

Depends on pricing, but i wouldn't mind the better OCing from the 2600k since i have zero use for my current six cores for the most part 😛

I use mine mainly for distributed computing, Cosmology@Home, and the like 😛 Even my 5970 is mainly going to waste. Though that will change when some of the games I've been eyeing for a while come out soon.
 
Those cloud formations are fucking awesome.

I also love when they do the progression of the night sky. So sick.
