Florida DOT shortens yellow light for more tickets. I think you have a case since it goes against national safety recommendations.

Also wouldn't they start seeing an increase in accidents? You would think that this would be dangerous.
The perfect Republican tax. The Heritage Foundation strikes again..
With Republicans absolutely against raising taxes there is that pesky problem of actually governing. Hence the red light tax. Its perfect. The billionaire in a Rolls Royce pays the same amount as the minimum wage worker with a 12 year old Ford. Much better even than raising the sales tax because while the rich spend a smaller percentage of their income on taxable goods they still spend more than the average person. Better than raising the property tax because the rich live in more expensive homes.
So, instead of paying for government by a progressive income tax, or any other kind of tax that might cause a rich person to pay more than a poor one, we have things like the "red light tax". After all when a Republican runs for re-election he can say he didn't raise taxes and yet the bridges haven't fallen down or a plague hasn't killed his valued voters.
Brilliant!

Brilliant response ... just brilliant.
OP, it depends on your point of view ... if you are the lawyer litigating the case then heck yes. If you a member of the litigating class then heck no. The class usually gets pennies on the dollar while the legal team usually asks for and gets million upon millions of dollars to "represent" the class.
CALs are one of the most profitable legal scams ever devised by the legal profession.

The billionaire in a Rolls has a chauffeur, who would pay the ticket. And urban areas run by Democrats seem to be where most of these cameras are; not Republican suburbs. Up
