Wonder how long i'll have to wait to play Crysis on a single card with decent detail levels?

I would imagine R600/G80 will be able to play it fine at decent detail with a single card.

I think top of the line cards can handle a lot more than people would expect right now, it all depends on the software coding and the drivers.

I herd that in the demo vids of crysis it was running on 2 X1900XTX's crossfire. So if R600/G80 can double performance, one of them should do.
Also directx 10 is meant to be allot more efficient.

Like Matrix21 said, if they're already able to demo the engine on current hardware, that probably bodes well for performance on future cards.

IF you need a card now - then upgrade now. :)

i don't :)

running two 17" screens so even FEAR runs fine at 1024 with everything maxed, no AA/4xAF no softshadows ;)

I really think a 7900GTX/X1900XT could play it at 12x10 with close to max settings, just give up on AA.
