Just giving a shout out to all women everywhere, but especially the ladies on AT!

I am currently in a women's studies class on trauma and recovery taught by a rape survivor. I am learning more and more each class how much I need to learn about women and women's issues. So, I think that this thread could be a way to shout out about women and women's history. Let's keep it positive and loving. Women need the respect they deserve. Hopefully ATOT can show a bit of that here.

Props to all the women out there

ben

edit: men can get theirs later. Let's give a little respect to the women now. I am the only man in that class, and I am white, so I know how you can feel, but put aside yourself for a sec and respect a side of the human race that always gets trashed.

[Generic Feminist Response] Every other month of the year [/GFR]

Ahhh... being the only guy in a women's studies class... Brings back memories :) The in-class discussions were interesting, the (huge amounts of) readings weren't. Wait till you get into feminist theory, especially stuff like "whiteness."

I prefere to give out respect when it is deserved, not because of a certain race or gender. And when I give out respect, I give it out to "people."
