According to gmail's "important messages" filter, messages from men are far more likely to be tagged "important" than messages from women. This is with gmail's default settings. The help tag says "Important mainly because of the people in the conversation." Of course, gmail's important message filter also thinks that more than half the email I get is important which is simply not true.

I'm going to go out on a limb here and say it's different for everyone?

The most "important" emails I get in Gmail are actually all from women...

why did i need an important flag? stuff that's actually important gets a star. that's why we have stars. i don't need a best buy price tag as well.
