Me: Obese, knows this, hates this. I have started at the gym, 4 times a week. Saw my nutritionist, went over a good plan for my eating habits. I have reduced junk food intake as well as reducing portion size (the key to it). So far, Ive lost a couple pounds and am quite happy. I know I'm still big, but it feels good to be doing this. I used to be thin, time can really change things.

the ladies at my work spend every single freaking day complaining about weight loss... yet they gorge on junk...to top it off, they are always snacking. Will they listen to me? Hell no.

I tell them to knock off the snacking, stop eating all the fried food and exercise... or, at the very least, reduce calorie intake.

apparently, I don't make any sense...so they tried the atkins diet which lasted about 5-6 days, next was curves, next was the all salad diet, next was the eat what you want diet, then , I think they even tried the slimfast diet topped off with a little Jenny Craig. Are all women like this?

Sounds a lot like my workplace.

All women with the exception of myself and another guy.

I've seen the Atkins, the stackers, the peanut butter diet, the high protien diet, the 4 days of the "lunch walks", the weeks worth of aerobics, the no chocolate diet, the red bull diet, ect ad naseum...

The worse part is that they are freaking accountants....yet they can't seem to grasp the concept that it's a simple formula of:

"If calories burned are greater than calories consumed the weight loss ensues"

If money made is greater than money lost then profit ensues...

yeah, all the women at my job talk about diets and snack pretty constantly. but each person is different in how they lose weight. my manager eats a few snacks every couple hours but she knows what to eat and how much of it and she has been steadily losing weight for the past two years. she has just hit 130 and is pretty happy (and thin) at that number.

business woman always seem to be overweight, and i would know, i work in a business environment. the woman are either overweight, really short and skinny, or you will see the oddball who is actually at the weight their supposed to be. its the same for the men as well, but not as bad. i think the woman complain a lot because they want to lose the weight, and cant because they dont have time. they got families to cook dinner for, kids to drive around, misc things like that. if woman who are busy family moms want to lose weight, they really should use the morning time to work out. thats possibly the best thing to do for anyone anyway. working out in the morning makes your entire day feel energized. as long as you eat the right foods, workout with the right mindset and nutrition balance, your mornings will be great. keep up the routine and you will become thin and happy more often as well. a lot of people should work out even if they dont feel their overweight. working out releases unused energy making a person feel happy, and energized by burning some of the excess energy that usually would go to waste. hell, having a lot of energy and not using any of it actually just leads to lazyness and eventually depression when your mind gets a hold on it. heh, so yeah, EVERYONE should workout, its fvcking good for ya. :)

I need to lose 50 pounds. Naturally, I'm a big guy (only 5'9, but thick I guess you could say). at 180 pounds, which is low for me, I was a 38 waist (I'm wide, even when skinny, hehe). I think the reality hit when my doctor said "you'll never be skinny". I've had bloodwork done. My thyroid is 1.3 which is normal, triglycerides were pretty low (140) and everything was pretty even steven.

What can I do except try? :) It was nice when I was able to go out on dates a lot, now, it's bleak at best. Beyond that, I need to do this for a more healthy future. I'm 25 btw.

I am reading a book right now that explains that most weight problems aren't directly the result of diet, rather, indirectly. The direct reason is a systemic fungal infection that goes undetected. The foods you eat is what feeds the fungus which messes up your insulin levels, sugar levels, and also creates mycotoxins that depress your body.

When I'm done with the book I'll post a review of it on my new site, very good info...

Oh and by the way, most doctors will never find fungal spores in a blood test because they look almost identical to blood cells.

I don't like tiny butts. I prefer firm curved butts proportional to the rest of the body. :p
