They complain about how crowded it is, and expensive, and cold outside, and the horrible traffic, but God forbid they'd try shopping online instead! And even if they don't shop online, what kind of shopping do you call wandering around aimlessly, looking at this and that, when none of it is even on their list? That ain't shopping, that's sightseeing! Then, all of a sudden, the stores are closing and hardly a dent has been made in that same list. I won't even mention the brilliant times they choose to "shop", like Black Friday, and weekends after Thanksgiving. What days do you think would be busiest? That's the exact days they choose to venture forth!

If I do have to grab things from a B&M instead of online, it will be before Thanksgiving, if not, during a weeknight, and it will be in and out quicker than the car seat can cool down. That's what I call shopping!

Some people prefer to have the touch and feel of clothing before they buy. That way they know the fabric, the cut, the quality and the right size are correct.

Some questions just don't have an answer.

My wife wonders why I don't want to "shop" with her. Man, her idea of shopping and mine, are two different things. She'll say, "Let's go Christmas shopping." I'll ask, "Where's the list, what do we have to get?" Of course, she has no list. Just wants wander around... at the most crowded time and day of the week, of course. I just tell her to go with her mother. Those two are on the same "shopping" page. Meanwhile, I can have a couple items en route from Walmart.com, before they even get their seatbelts unbuckled!

That's the pic that immediately came to mind when reading the first post. Men shop for stuff, while women shop for the experience of shopping, and that "stuff" is secondary.
