Women and hot showers

I don't what it is but it seems that when it comes to hot water women have a high tolerance for heated showers. I've talked to some other people about this and they all agree that jumping in the shower right after your wife/girlfriend is deadly.

I know this probably sounds wierd but its true, every morning my wife makes me feel like a wimp. She leaves the shower on for me after she gets out and I swear its like standing under volcanic lava, when I ask her how she can deal with the heat she just calls me silly.

Any of you guys experience this?

I take pretty hot showers too, but I don't start out at the water temp I finish with, I gradually turn up the heat. my gf thinks I take hot showers, so the situation is reversed.

I do what Warlord does. At first the water is warm but as I get more used to it, I continue to turn up the heat little by little. By the time I step out, the water is scalding to anyong that's not used to it.

Girls i've talked to tell me they like it scalding too... I just can't stand it :disgust: In the summer I barely turn the hot water on at all...mostly cold.

Maybe thats whats going on in my house. Funny thing is I consider myself to be a guy who enjoys hot showers, but my wife can boil a cow with the water temp she showers with.

i guess it goes both ways

i saw a comedian talking about this same subject a few days ago, it was hilarious. he was basically saying never take a shower with a woman you don't know, it could be your last.

ROFL...

but on a more serious note, I hear being in a hot tub for more than 15 or 20 minutes at really high temperatures isn't good.....raises your body temperature too much.

My wife will get out of the shower and her back will be red. We don't take to many showers together because of her likeness for hot water. Forget about shaving with her in there. If you can see through the mist to get to the mirror your lucky. When you do find it, it's all steamed up anyway.

I think it's because your wife or girlfriend doesn't want to embarrass you with a cold shower -- significant shrinkage and all that...;)

That fits me and my wife. She takes scalding hot showers and yet I take warm to cool showers.

I didn't think this was a common thing! I think if my gf knew how to change the safety settings on the water heater, she would. I swear, the water she uses comes out of the showerhead as steam, not liquid. Like TRP's wife, she's always cold.

Whoa, I thought I was alone on this one. My GF has the showers so hot that anyone going in the bathroom afterwards has to use a string to find there way back out through the steam. The only reason it bothers them less that I can think of, is that women have an extra layer of fat over men (according to an anatomy class I took), so its harder for them to lose weight, and easier to withstand heat.

yes its true! damn hot water the gf uses. She claims that it needs to be hot so that she can shave. usually leaves me clinging to the wall lest i suffer 3rd degree burns and subsequent disfiguration!

Same here -- I've worried about skin damage on my wife because she's apparently discovered a new way to cook by using the shower. I told her that blistering is not consistent with cleanliness, but she doesn't listen.

If you are 6' tall and she is 5'5, then the water that will scald you will be a lot cooler by the time it gets to where she is standing.
