women and computers dont mix

so my roommates gf brings over her laptop because its running slow and always crashing... start it up and I get a bajillion popups... run adaware and she has 174 pieces of spyware including bonzai buddy and gator....


grrr.... applyin service packs and defraggin now...
 
i had to fix my sister's computer for wireless networking, start it up and like a million things pop up demanding attention... most of it just random windows crap
 
my girfriend actually knows about most of the spyware, and tries to keep it off her system. Gets pissed as hell when other people manage to get stuff like that onto her computer, too. 🙂

my landlord had the same problem,I spent hours hunting down and getting rid of tracker and pop up app's that even adware wasn't finding.

However,now he's behind a hardware firewall and we're getting ready to drop cable,we'll have an awesome lan here🙂

No! Housing here is scarce and expensive,I needed to move and needed to do it quickly.I love my animals but in the end the needs of the humans here have to come first.I was commuting almost 3 hours per day by bus and 3 people were cramped into a 1 bedroom place.Irented from a friend,the new place is much bigger, close to my job and allows my son to stay in the same school.These people are cool enough to allow me time to try to place my animals. I gotta tell you though that this is killing me,these cats were my babies for a very long time and my guilt and grief over this is pretty bad🙁

174 thats it, i ran ad-ware on my buddies comp, he came up with 650+ i was like good God man, had pop-ups and everything

my bosses 2 sons managed to get 866 matches on Ad-Aware when I did a scan.. improved the system's speed *DRASTICALLY*

it was that bad.

Oh, speaking of . . . so I visited this guy's home this weekend: He had trouble setting his HDTV to play a lovely song and video on VCD. Can you believe I had to help him out? :Q Wow!

I guess the [painful] lesson to be learned is, men and computers don't mix either. 😉 😀

Actually since a TV and video are played on a TV, there is no computer involved. Yet further proof that women and computers don't mix when a woman can't discern a TV from a computer.

ahhh... dude... I'm going to have to say that if it involves microchips that are programmable/controllable that it's close enough to a computer.
 
uh, news flash, it has nothing to do with her being a girl. I get to fix this stuff all the time and guys are just as bad, it's all about computer illiteracy, and just because most geeks are guys doesn't mean that only women are making this mistake.
