So, did Alky finally notice all the vehicles dropping off and picking up kids every few houses? It absolutely is happening in most neighborhoods even with dense participation. Wussification

I actually had two parents come up to me, one with 4 bags another with 2-3 and said their kids were in the van and were too cold to come to the door. I gave them candy because I didn't feel like being an asshole, but come on. They're called coats and gloves people. If they're too cold to get the candy themselves then go home and be happy with what you got already. It did get down to the low 40's last night during that time frame, so it was chilly.

I also had several adults in costume trick or treating for themselves, though most were with their kids. I was fine with that since they actually went through the effort of dressing up. This year we probably had the least amount of un-costumed trick or treaters, which surprised me. Usually the teens that come by don't put in any effort, but this year they did for the most part.

The argument was they are going house to house, not every few houses. The parents are probably just rolling a few houses in front of little ones as they go.

Still it makes no sense unless they are going to a different block or subdivision.

It's routinely possible to stop right between four houses and so the car wouldn't be able to drive to the "next" house that it is already at. That's what I meant by "next few." No one was implying that the kids got in the car again before even crossing the road but they ARE still getting a ride "house to house" in every reasonable sense.
