Also it says she was firing back towards herself, for all we know it could have simply fired through the board.

I thought most nail guns have a security feature in which there has to be a security tab pushed down before the nail will release? Or did she actually have the thing pressed down and shot herself? They make it sound as if she pulled a trigger and the nail shot out at her heart.

Actually, you can set them so the nail will fire as soon as the gun "taps" the wood. I guess for some people, this option may not be the best. However, hopefully, OSHA regulations don't change because of this incident. I can see the new ruling now: "Safety goggles **and** Kevlar safety vests must be worn when using this product."

A kevlar vest won't protect you from a nail.

probably the same reason it won't protect you from an arrow....

Or knife.

Or an 18wheeler.....

Kevlar stops a bullet, but then again a bag of sand does the same.

Reminds me a little of a girl on Long Island. She was working at Burger King in a local Mall when a guy in the next store decided to use a Nail gun to hang pictures on the thin drywall. He blasted a Nail into the girls brain. She survived but has brain damage.

Kavouspour said Wiggins is truly lucky to be alive and without brain damage.
I think there was brain damage before this. I mean she did shoot herself by doing something stupid.

Yet weighs less. It's all about velocity
