I dont know, is it? Your radiator is pressurized so it boils at a much higher temperature than unpressurized water. Water boils at 212 degrees. Many cars have thermostats that open at 195-205 degrees. That's barely hotter than radiator coolant.

So yes, 212° water is (very, very likely) hotter than water/coolant in your radiator.
