Clearwater, Fla. -- A woman who says she was pulled off an airplane and asked to take a sex toy out of her luggage after it started vibrating is suing Delta Air Lines, saying she was publicly humiliated.

Renee Koutsouradis, 36, said she was with her husband awaiting takeoff from Dallas in February when her name was called over the loudspeaker.

She said she was met by a Delta security agent who told her something was vibrating in one of her bags. She said she explained it was an adult toy that she and her husband had just bought on a trip to Las Vegas.

She said the agent took her to the bag on the tarmac and made her remove the toy and hold it up, according to the lawsuit filed Wednesday. Some passengers on the plane saw everything, and three male Delta employees "began laughing hysterically" and made "obnoxious and sexually harassing comments."

Koutsouradis was allowed to repack and return to her seat.

A spokeswoman for Delta would not comment on the specifics of the lawsuit.

"We have an obligation to protect the safety and security of passengers," said spokeswoman Katie Connell. "If there's anything questionable about a bag, we have a responsibility to investigate."

The lawsuit seeks unspecified damages, accusing Delta of negligence, intentional infliction of distress and gender discrimination.

Koutsouradis' lawyer, Brad Tobin, said Delta agents should have escorted her to a private area.

"She was pretty horrified by the treatment," he said. "She never contended that Delta doesn't have the right to investigate a security issue. It was their total lack of professionalism."

Heh... I don't feel the least bit sorry for her. And, yes, I would have been laughing too.
1) take the batteries out
2) don't take that kind of thing with you if you're too embarrassed to have people know you're that kinky

I kinda feel bad for her being embarassed (although I don't think she deserves any money for "emotional damages"), but doesn't bringing it to national attention embarass her more?

Still funny as hell....:D

if she had just let it go only about 100 people would know about it and that would be the end, she wouldn't use delta and that would be fine, now she makes a big deal about it and 1000000 people know.....

Someone's obviously never dated a girl who's heard of positions other than "missionary." :p

Heheh, I'm with ya, dude. However, I guarantee that if their lawyer is decent, they willl win a small amount from Delta just to shut them up and keep it out of court. The employees should not have made suggestive, lewd comments. Total lack of professionalism+people with money to hire a lawyer = successful lawsuit.

Delta deserves losing every penny that the courts decide IMO. Those Delta employees deserve pink slips for being assholes.

Hmm, guess you didnt read this:

She said she explained it was an adult toy that she and her husband had just bought on a trip to Las Vegas.

And I'll agree with the previous poster who said you dont know what you are talking about. :) Just because a women likes a vibrator doesnt mean you ain't satisying her.

She does not deserve crap. What idiot would take a vibe onto a plane especially after 9-11? You KNOW there's a potential that you and/or your bags *might* get searched.

um well when you pay a company for a service you expect to be treated with respect. being asked to embarass yourself unecessarily by a sadistic employee is not respect. did she have to hold it up? no! being an @sshole to other people is uncalled for.

Nefrodite would YOU pick up someone elses sex toy? I sure as hell would not. Make them handle thier own. Could they have treated her with a little more resect? Probably. But again she made the bone headed decision to take it on a plane. She should take her lumps and move on. She made a poor decision...live with it. I feel no pity for people like this. Thier lack of common sense amazes me and personally I feel that she deserves what she got. Cold hearted?...hell yes it is but I am so sick of reading about idiots like this every freakin day.

Had this happen to me recently when i went to wisconsin for a bachelorette party (yeah i'm a guy). Anyway, I got the girl a vibrator (those things can get pretty expensive) and gift wrapped it and everything. And I carried it in my carry on bag. Now I had thought of something like that happening, so I removed the batteries before packing it. Well anyhow, my bag went through the X-rays, and the guy operating it sits up and calls over two of the female bag-checkers, and they're all laughing at it. I'm like, yeah yeah, ok, it's a gift. they never made a scene about it though and left me on my way. i'm just glad I wasn't one of the 'randomly searched' people. ;)

lol, omg you need to go take a nap. it doesn't mean she lacks common sense and is an idiot just because she took a vibrator in her luggage. that in no way deems her idiotic. its unfortunate that it had to go off, but it does not mean she lacks common sense just because she brought a personal item along, its not like it posed injury to others. just have a juice box and go for a walk outside.

Actually a lot of woman prefer there toys, they get use to them and can't reach that special place without them at least that's what Adam Corrolla says on Loveline.

She is stupid for not taking the batteries out and packing better.

Was it ticking?
Actually throwers don't worry about ticking 'cause modern bombs don't tick.
Sorry, throwers?
Baggage handlers. But, when a suitcase vibrates, that's another thing, then the throwers gotta call the police.
My suitcase was vibrating?
Nine times out of ten it's an electric razor, but every once in a while... it's a dildo. Of course it's company policy never to, imply ownership in the event of a dildo... always use the indefinite article "a dildo", never "your dildo".
I don't own...
